Standard bearing-bar and pitch configurations typically ship in 3 to 5 weeks from order confirmation. Custom panel sizes, non-standard bar pitch or large stair-tread quantities extend that. Share the layout drawing early; bar pitch and panel-cutting detail is usually what sets the schedule.

IS 2713 is the Indian standard for steel gratings, covering bearing-bar and cross-rod dimensions and load classification. BS 4592 is the British standard, widely referenced on Gulf and Commonwealth-market tenders, covering similar load-table and open-area requirements but with different reference tables. A manufacturer working to both can certify the same panel against either; tell us which one your project specifies.

Standard bearing-bar and cross-rod configurations give roughly 55 to 70% open area, depending on bar pitch and cross-bar spacing, enough for drainage, ventilation and light transmission while holding load capacity. Tighter pitch at 30 mm reduces open area but suits finer mesh needs for dropped-object protection. Wider pitch at 60 mm increases open area for maximum ventilation and drainage.
