A credible Indian manufacturer ships a commercial invoice, packing list, Mill Test Certificate (MTC) tracing the steel to its heat, a galvanizing certificate stating zinc thickness, and a Certificate of Origin (COO) for duty relief. Third-party inspection reports from SGS, TÜV or Bureau Veritas are added where the buyer or the standard requires them.
There is no fixed minimum for international supply. Partial containers get consolidated with accessories and documentation into one shipment routinely. Most first-time orders are sized to fill a 20 ft or 40 ft container simply because that's the efficient freight unit. A 40 ft container of hot-dip galvanized tray typically ships 4 to 6 weeks from order confirmation, depending on quantity, finish and current factory load. Inland transit to Nhava Sheva (Mumbai) or Kolkata/Haldia ports adds 3 to 5 days. Indian lead times run well ahead of the 12 to 16 weeks common from Chinese or European factories.
Cable tray nests. Ladder and perforated sections stack inside each other, so a 40 ft container holds roughly 1.5 to 1.8 km of standard 300 mm tray, less for wider or heavier-gauge profiles. That nesting keeps container utilisation high and per-metre freight low, a real cost edge over bulkier imported alternatives.
Closed trunking shields cables from dust, falling debris, mechanical impact and casual contact, choose it for switch rooms, exposed building runs, walkway-adjacent routing and areas with public access. Open trays cost less and dissipate heat better, but they expose the cabling. Many EPCs mix the two: trunking in occupied zones, trays in plant rooms.
