The manufacturer will typically quote against a standard, assumed wind zone as a placeholder, and that price isn't reliable; it commonly changes 15 to 20% once the actual site wind speed is confirmed and the structure is properly engineered. Always provide the site wind speed, or ask your EPC or consultant for it, before treating any solar structure quote as firm.
Yes. A structural calculation summary showing section sizing against the applicable wind or snow load standard is part of the documentation package, and project engineers and certifying authorities typically want this before approving installation.
