Busbar ampacity depends on cross-sectional area, ambient temperature, enclosure ventilation and permissible temperature rise, with IEC 62271 the reference standard for switchgear. As a rough guide, copper busbar carries roughly 1.2 to 1.6 A per mm² in a ventilated enclosure, though your specific installation will set the real figure. Share your panel current rating, enclosure type and ambient temperature and we'll confirm the section against IEC 62271 derating tables.
Commercial invoice, packing list, a Mill Test Certificate showing conductivity (%IACS) and dimensional tolerance, an EN 10204 3.1 material certificate where specified, and a Certificate of Origin for duty relief. Third-party inspection from SGS, TÜV or Bureau Veritas is arranged where the buyer or project standard calls for it.

Standard flat busbar in stock sections typically ships in 2 to 4 weeks. Busbar cut, punched and bent to a specific panel drawing, the more common export scenario, runs 3 to 5 weeks depending on quantity and complexity. Send the drawing early. Punching and bending detail is usually what sets the schedule, not the raw copper.
A compliant MTC for IS 1897 / ASTM B187 ETP busbar must show: copper purity ≥99.9 % (chemical analysis with heat/cast number), electrical conductivity ≥100 % IACS tested per IEC 60468 or ASTM B193, dimensional check (cross-section area, mass per metre), tensile strength, and an NABL-accredited lab stamp or ISO 17025 equivalent. Reject on the spot if conductivity is absent or stated only as '>98 %', there is no heat or batch number, no lab stamp, or the composition shows Sn, Pb or Zn above trace levels, those impurities directly reduce conductivity and accelerate joint corrosion. We supply fully compliant MTCs with every export batch, including the NABL lab reference number.
