Common gauges are 1.2, 1.6, 2.0 and 2.5 mm. 1.2 mm suits light control cabling on short spans, 1.6 mm is the general-purpose default, and 2.0 to 2.5 mm is for heavy power runs, wide trays or long support spans. Rather than order by gauge alone, give the cable load per metre and support spacing, and let the manufacturer confirm the thickness.

Add the cross-sectional area of all cables, then keep the fill ratio below about 40% of the tray's internal area so heat can dissipate, per IEC 61537 practice. Don't stack a single layer of power cable; for control cable, 40% fill is acceptable. Share the cable schedule and we can confirm tray width, depth and load class before fabrication.

A credible Indian manufacturer ships a commercial invoice, packing list, Mill Test Certificate (MTC) tracing the steel to its heat, a galvanizing certificate stating zinc thickness, and a Certificate of Origin (COO) for duty relief. Third-party inspection reports from SGS, TÜV or Bureau Veritas are added where the buyer or the standard requires them.

We nest trays in steel-strapped bundles with polyethylene interleaving to protect the finish, load on hardwood skids and shrink-wrap the pallet. For voyages over five weeks to West Africa or South America we add VCI (volatile corrosion inhibitor) paper inside HDG bundles, it creates a protective vapour atmosphere around the zinc that prevents transit white-rust without contact. Every carton is BOQ-coded so the receiving team at site can sort by service zone without opening or reading invoices.
