Bends, Tees & Reducers
Horizontal/vertical bends, equal tees, crosses and reducers in matched finish.

What it is
Pre-formed direction and junction fittings — 90° and 45° bends, equal and unequal tees, crosses, and width reducers — formed to the same profile and finish as the run.

Buying bends, tees & reducers — answered
Practical answers for procurement, engineering and EPC teams — covering specification, standards, finish, lead time and export logistics.
A direction change is where corrosion starts and where load concentrates. If the bend's gauge, profile or zinc thickness doesn't match the parent tray, you get electrolytic corrosion at the joint and a weak point under cable load. Matching the accessory source closes both gaps.
IEC 60364 requires a bend radius of at least 8× the cable outer diameter for unarmoured power cable, 12× for SWA. Translating to tray hardware: a 240 mm² XLPE cable wants a 600 mm radius horizontal bend or larger. We stock 300, 600 and 900 mm radii as standard and fabricate custom radii on request.
Yes — inside (concave) and outside (convex) vertical bends are made to the same profile as horizontal bends, so the tray run keeps its load class through every direction change. Share the elevation and we'll quote the assembly with bend, riser cleats and any required clamps.
Equal tees in standard widths (100, 150, 200, 300, 450, 600 mm) ship from stock; unequal tees and crosses are made to order. Lead time on standard tees is 2 weeks; bespoke widths or non-standard angles 3–4 weeks.
Both are available. Concentric reducers keep the centreline aligned (used when the cable bundle reduces evenly); eccentric reducers align the top or bottom surface (used when the tray transitions to a different deck level). Specify which on the layout drawing.

Manufacturing & Surface Treatment
All products are manufactured at Vajra's Howrah facility under ISO 9001:2015 quality management. In-house roll-forming, welding, galvanizing and testing — without sub-contractor dependency — ensures consistent dimensional accuracy and surface quality across export orders.
Precision Roll-Forming
CNC roll-forming lines capable of ±0.1 mm dimensional tolerance on MS, GI, SS, and aluminium sections.
Hot-Dip Galvanizing
In-house HDG plant conforming to ASTM A123 / IS 2629. Average coating: 85–140 µm. Pre-treatment: alkaline degreasing → pickling → fluxing.
Welding & Fabrication
MIG, TIG, SAW welding. Coded welders under ASME IX / IS 2825 qualification. Weld inspection by UT / DPT available.
Surface Treatment
Hot-dip galvanizing · Pre-galvanized GI · Powder coating (Tribo gun, 60–80 µm DFT) · Mill finish · Chromate passivation.
