Steel supports are priced primarily by weight, tonnage, plus fabrication complexity. A simple single-arm cantilever costs far less per kg than a multi-tier pipe rack with many welded connections. Share your load schedule and layout drawing for an accurate quote rather than a generic per-tonne estimate; welding labour often outweighs material cost on complex frames.

Load design starts from the actual weight the structure will carry, cable tray fill weight plus cable, or pipe weight plus contents and insulation, combined with the span and any wind or seismic loading per IS 875. Share your load schedule, weight per metre, span, environment, and we'll confirm the section size and thickness rather than guessing from a standard catalogue size.

Hot-dip galvanizing (IS 4759 / ASTM A123) is the standard for outdoor and long-service steel supports, protecting every surface including welds and cut edges for decades. Epoxy or PU painting gets used where a specific colour code is required, safety colour schemes for instance, or for indoor structures where HDG's cost premium isn't justified. For outdoor plant structures, HDG remains the default recommendation.

Heavy supports are loaded directly into 40 ft open-top or flat-rack containers, with hardwood dunnage and ratchet straps. Pre-assembled racks above 8 m length ship in sections with bolt-up flanges. We handle the lashing and stuffing in our yard.
