A 40 ft container of hot-dip galvanized tray typically ships 4 to 6 weeks from order confirmation, depending on quantity, finish and current factory load. Inland transit to Nhava Sheva (Mumbai) or Kolkata/Haldia ports adds 3 to 5 days. Indian lead times run well ahead of the 12 to 16 weeks common from Chinese or European factories.

Cable tray nests. Ladder and perforated sections stack inside each other, so a 40 ft container holds roughly 1.5 to 1.8 km of standard 300 mm tray, less for wider or heavier-gauge profiles. That nesting keeps container utilisation high and per-metre freight low, a real cost edge over bulkier imported alternatives.

Coastal and offshore sites need hot-dip galvanizing to ASTM A123 (85 microns minimum), or stainless 316L in splash zones. For Gulf desert projects, where chlorides are low but sand abrades coatings, HDG without a top coat works well. For aggressive coastal petrochemical sites, a duplex system of HDG plus epoxy pushes corrosion life past 30 years.

Perforated trays are right when the cable route carries smaller cables, control wiring, instrumentation, Cat 6A data, BMS signals, fire-detection loops, where continuous bottom support prevents sagging between rungs. They also suit pharmaceutical cleanrooms, hospital technical floors and commercial Grade A office fit-outs where cleanliness and aesthetics matter alongside function. For heavy LT power cable above 240 mm² or long support spans exceeding 2 m, ladder tray is the better thermal and structural choice.
